FUNDRAISING
The WKSC is one of hundreds of non-profit skating clubs across the country registered under the Skate Canada Umbrella. We conduct a CanSkate Program, Junior Program, Star-Skate Test Stream Program (Intermediate & Senior), Power Skate Program, Adult Skating Program & a Competitive Program.It is needless to say that operating all these programs, employing excellent coaches, & subsidizing a lot of ice time requires a lot of funds. Did you know that our club is facing over $75,000 in ice fees alone, not to mention all other related expenses.In order to continue the success of our programs & to nurture the skating talents & dreams of our skaters, we urge members to support the West Kingston Skating Club by participating in our numerous fundraising efforts & plans.If you have any questions, regarding any of the above fundraising strategies, please do not hesitate to contact Marcia Pascoal, Fundraising Chair, at 613-384-1859. USED-DRESS & SKATE SALES: |
Looking for skates, skating dresses & hockey equipment for the upcoming season? Look no further! Buy previously enjoyed skating articles at greatly reduced prices Have any previously enjoyed skating wear or skates you want to sell or get rid of? WKSC will accept any articles & sell them on consignment during our skate & costume sale. |

These 2008 calendars feature our member skaters. Calendars now available from our club office for $10.00. Help support our skaters. |

4th ANNUAL SILENT AUCTION: |
Once again WKSC will be holding its Silent Auction in Combination with our year end Awards Banquet (Sun. May3/08).This year, a mandatory $25.00 cheque will be collected from every family to be used to purchase items for the silent auction table. Members can, if they wish, donate a prize up to $25.00 in value, & in return their cheque will be destroyed. The Silent Auction is always a fun event & instrumental in keeping ice costs down. All members of the West Kingston Skating Club are invited to attend. |

SHOP & SUPPORT PROGRAM: |
Once again this year the WKSC is running the Shop & Support Program. Consider purchasing Shopping Cards & Gift certificates for your everyday expenditures, large purchases or gift giving. WKSC receives a percentage from of all cards/certificates sold. Cards available on line - see www.shopandsupport.ca for more information & to login to place your order of cards. This fundraiser continues year round. |

BOSTON PIZZA: |
Bring in your Boston Pizza receipts & the restaurant will donate 10% of your bill ( before taxes) back to WKSC. An envelope is on the club bulletin board, or hand into the club office. |

FLOWERS: |
Help support WKSC by buying flowers for your special skater for the ice show & competitions. Flowers will be available for sale in the lobby of the rink for these special functions. |

RAFFLES, 50/50 TICKETS & PRIZE TABLES: |
Help support WKSC throughout the year by participating in these fundraising events to be held during our Spring Fling & Club Competitions & Ice Show. Don't forget, you can't win if you don't play. |

MERCHANDISE SALES: |
Watch out for our Merchandise sales through out the year . We will run a sale of club merchandise such as skate blade covers, fleeces, vests etc. Orders subject to demand. |

BINGOS: |
Our Club operates bingos at the TREASURE CHEST bingo hall at 1600 Bath Road. Why not volunteer your time. The Bingo fundraiser helped pay for most of our ice time last year. Check out our bulletin board at the rink or click on the link for a listing of Bingo dates. |
